Path through Bossington wood, autumn

I thought this group of trees looked almost to be alive in the enchanted wood sense and the dull overcast light suited the subject. No filters or anything technical was required for this shot however the tripod was essential to keep things sharp in this low light.

Our eyes cope easily with the reduced light in woodland and it is easy to assume that our cameras will do the same. Always take a tripod into woodland, exposure times are longer.
