Trafalgar Square, Joe's view

I have to unashamedly admit to seeing Trafalger Square shot from this viewpoint before in Joe Cornish's fabulous wide angle landscape view. I was looking for a portrait orientated image that could be used on a London map cover I was designing and my tightly cropped version worked a treat with space top and bottom for headings and captions.

My version lacks the dramatic sky of Joes image and suffers from a bit of pin cushion distortion of the verticals. This is common to all consumer grade wide angle lenses. A fully corrected architectural lens is way out of my budget. This is an old image and current software such as Lightroom can correct this effect automatically using algorithms for most modern lenses in any case.
