The beach at Reculver is covered with small stones, in fact there are usually so many that I had found it extremely difficult to make a simple balanced composition amongst them. On this occasion this area had less stones and more sand so I was able to make something of it. However it still isn't that well resolved and the stones on the left appear to be fighting with the stones on the right for the viewers attention which creates a disharmony.

I have since been back to this spot to have another go but the sand had been washed away to reveal even more dreaded stones.
