Oare creek, dusk
Oare creek, dusk

The waters of Oare Creek are tidal naturally and it is only for a couple of hours at high tide that the creek fills up as seen here giving boat owners a very small window of opportunity to navigate in and out of the mariners and out to sea before the water drains away stranding the vessels on the mud.

This also dictates that photographic opportunities when high tide and dawn or dusk coincide are even rarer. High tides combined with an interesting sunset are rarer still. When I realised that there was a strong possibility of this happening on this particular evening my other engagement (karate class) was cancelled last minute.
