In general my home county of Kent is pretty flat compared with other counties and finding elevated vantage points for landscape photographs is difficult. I found this spot on the North Downs on one of my scouting missions and noted its potential. It is a long hike from the nearest car park to this spot and getting there takes some effort with a heavy camera bag and tripod.
I have been on this hill at dawn and dusk on several occasions only for my photographic intentions to be thwarted by unfavourable weather. On this occasion I was there at midday and the light wasn't that appealing. However the snow was my driving force and I wanted to capture the best image I could with the conditions available. Not bad, but I'll be back.
